International Yoga Day 2020

Derived from the Sanskrit word "Yuj" which means "to unite" or "integrate". Yoga is a 5,000-year-old ancient Indian practice of body knowledge. It can be defined as a poetic cluster about harmonizing the body with the mind through the means of various yoga poses, breathing exercises, and meditation.

Patanjali, author of the classic yoga text, the Yoga Sutra, defined yoga as the quieting of the fluctuations of the mind.

This year International Yoga Day 2020 will be celebrated on digital media platforms due to the outbreak of COVID-19. This year's theme is "Yoga at home and Yoga with family" and people will able to join the celebration virtually at 7 am on June 21.
