Though we still have to confine ourselves within the safety boundary - it couldn’t deter a lot, specifically the youth, from boldly standing up to rebel and propagate ideas and issues that will change the world in more significant terms than the pandemic did.
Be it- the climate change wave, respecting cultural diversity, importance of fast fashion, garment workers exploitation, the recent farmer bills, and so on. This air of rebel rings very much with the swinging sixty’s era.
An era where people fearlessly vocalized their mind and challenged the safely tucked UNJUST. And they did so, beautifully- through their art, speech, prints, songs and through Fashion.
Keeping this similarity close to our heart, IwearKhadi found its inspiration- a breakthrough. Like flowers blooming from the cracks of a bitter yesteryear.
We have mixed sixties bright colors with its loose easy comfort silhouettes while keeping the aesthetics of our Indian heritage in mind. And incorporated small detailed embroidered patch works of floral motifs along with handwork French knot stitches and a line of wooden buttons on closures to bring an air of spring to our designs.
All these are crafted on our handcrafted fabric-Khadi Denim, woven with love and patience of our local weavers ensuring a low carbon foot print and support for our artisans.
